Motivation for Perspective: Go Getter Monday

A selfish plan is a plan fit for failure.

Think about what you plan to achieve and exactly who does it benefit. If you aren’t incorporating ways for others to succeed or to benefit from what you have to offer, your planning is in vain.

While we should always have ourselves set first before we try to embark on a missionary journey to save the world, we have to keep in mind that where we are, we weren’t always there, and that someone said, did or showed us it was possible to move beyond our previous level.

So in the midst of your planning, remember to leave some room for others to grow as well….like a contingency for support.

Leave something for the next person to grow.

Over the weekend I read a quote which read:
The hustle beats out talent…and I thought to myself, how sad that someone out there who is worthy and deserving of having all their needs and wants met, through their own might, are missing out on opportunity simply because they don’t go after what they want, consistently or not at all.

A daily commitment of not laying down without having made one conscious action towards our goal. That’s a hustler mentality and spirit. It’s also the spirit one with talent should embrace as well.

With those two deadly combos, its hard not to succeed. Its hard not to make it to the other side!
When your will power is pushing the progress forward; Utilizing all the pain, disappointment, setbacks, try agains and failures as fuel to power the hustle.

Your talent will render the blessings, because it’s something that others can’t take away…but you can lose it if you don’t use it. Believe that.

So you have to marry your talent and the hustle together. Make a baby from it, call it success, call it your life, call it “I made it.”

In my opinion hustling doesn’t out beat talent, it develops it for success.

The more you are yourself, the easier it becomes to see where people fit into your life.
A lot of connections may be temporal, but it is important that you understand and don’t try to lock them in where they don’t belong.
Stop changing yourself to make people believe in what you have to offer.
Be Yourself.

Hindsight is that friend that has to say I told you so.
And it’s a friend who cares about you, because it gives you the vision of reflection and helps you review play by play where you went left and why.
Maybe it was a distraction you hadn’t noticed before.
Or did you become over zealous and lose your humble demeanor?
It could be you just weren’t prepared for what you thought you wanted.
All of it is there to serve as a corrector for your next venture at greatness.
Appreciate the reflective vision.
Seek out ways to do and be better.
Study yourself; know what works for you.
Hindsight isn’t bad at all, in fact, it’s a life saver.
