Motivation for Perspective: Go Getter Monday

A commitment to gratefulness bares much reward.

Not only do we endure with a mindset of choosing to focus on what is good, we make room in our reality for greater to manifest.

Choosing to let go of the why and instead focusing on what’s next will help us in moving forward and not remaining stuck in a place that allows us to be victims of complacency aka “closure.”

We have the power to build the life we desire! Start by being grateful in all things and watch how its all working together for your good.

It is useless to believe we can control every situation we find ourselves positioned within.

Especially once we release into the Universe, our thoughts, goals and desires.

It is then that we voluntarily, set off the chain of events which are sure to come. The best thing we can do, is what we can and allow the Universe to do what needs to be done, in order for the shift of greater to occur.

No great awakening, which was great, came to be without great changes or a series of events.

Because as much as we like to believe, rarely does the reward come easy. With one step or change…no it is a process…a journey.

And it tests you, your endurance, your mental capacity, your spirit, your heart.

All the things that make up our character and purpose are free game, to be tried.

We don’t always pass on the first, second or even third try, however; eventually we learn the lesson and apply the wisdom gained…perhaps that is the true victory: knowing and doing better.

Gather up all your experiences, your trials and lessons and go forth to conquer another day.

Its all working for your greater.

Rationalizing the situation rarely gets us to a place of acceptance and growth.

It usually gives us an excuse to remain in the same place, rather than stepping out on faith and pursuing the risk.

The risk of losing to gain.

Let’s be honest: no one enjoys starting over when it was not a conscious choice to do so.

It is easier to talk ourselves into staying in a place when we are accustomed to the routine, even though we have outgrown the process.

Now, does that necessarily mean you leave: no…but it does mean you have to become truthful about what is not working and lacking, then make significant efforts to improve.

What we like in our 20s isn’t necessarily what we still appreciate in our 30s…and so on and so forth.

It is beautiful to evolve, to shape into who you are meant to become. Hell, it is encouraged! At least here it is. ❤

And if you spend your life confining your growth, you will seamlessly attract people and situations which will keep you in that stronghold of self doubt and fear.

Stop rationalizing your life and begin to confess to the Universe what you desire. And then be brave and bold enough to seek it.

What is for you is not for anyone else to understand or even to accept.

Especially when they are not privy to your journey.

We have to stop internalizing the judgment of others as if they matter more than the vision we’ve been given.

You know what you’ve prayed for, toiled for, wrestled with and cried about.

So then why allow the opinion of an outsider to hold weight in your circumstance?

God is the only one who truly knows your situation and it is God a lone who you should turn to when you need assurance in your journey.

Because unfortunately, we as humans can only see what we can see, whereas God sees all, knows all and hears all.

Place your trust there, its a sure thing. Keep your head up, your prayers consistent and your energy connected to what flows, stop resisting where its taking you, because we never know what’s awaiting us just ahead.

When the vision isn’t matching up, ask God for clarity, continuously.

Remember the journey never looks like the destination.

Hard Truths

It’s you.

Perhaps not all the time, but this time, it is you.

And that’s ok.

Once we recognize our role and our missteps, we can begin to change our approach and the narrative we put out but also the one we create within us.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with acknowledging our faults and flaws and more than anything we need to…even if it has to come from the outside, make sure it comes from those who truly love and want the best for you.

But it’s you.

And it’s gonna be you who makes the change.

Often, we look for our blessings to be manifestations of material things, because a lot of us were raised to believe goodness takes shape in tangible form.

However, through living our lives we come to realize at some point, hopefully, that our most cherished moments take place through healing and self realization.

Peace. Love. Hope. Understanding.

These are all blessed gifts that come to comfort us in times of storms, trepidation and loneliness.

We gather ourselves, because we know how to comfort our wounds. Not to say we don’t falter and revert back to non-serving habits: self pity, fear and doubt, however we are aware enough to recognize we are digressing and courageous enough to turn the narrative around for our good.

Nothing which attempts to bind us in despair shall last when we seek to persevere and overcome.

We only lack when we believe we lack.

We only remain fearful we choose to believe in the fear.

We are only lonely when we believe loneliness is our only option.

Reaffirming who we are through our gifts of peace, hope, understanding and love, joins us to our inner spirit which holds the power to bring us through any and all darkness.

My thought and prayer for us this week, is that we daily seek power in the words we speak and the thoughts we choose to focus on.

When we find ourselves not promoting our light, we quickly change the narrative and shift the direction of our energy.

We deserve the very best, no ifs ands or buts about it.

However we must first begin that with and within ourselves.

This season is all about expectancy, what are you claiming for yours?

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

Have you ever experienced a time in your life, when all cylinders were in sync and operating at their highest level?

You felt like every thing was in its proper place and you were safeguarded from foul play; in essence, life was damn good!

And we cherish those moments…but here is something I want you and I to pay close attention to:

Are we living in the past or are we gaining faith from our previous greatness, that it will return to us once again?

Last year my life was quite a fairytale. I was taking numerous trips, coloring my hair for the first time 😊, traveling often, pampering myself regularly, purchased a new vehicle (against my will, but glad I did) and enjoying my singlehood.

And then out of nowhere, I found myself unemployed and no energy to accept that my lifestyle was changing. I was not ready to let go of what I had always wanted to obtain, and now within a matter of weeks, my department went from hopeful talks to teary-eyed meetings filled with “I’m sorry this is happening.”

I was in shock, I honestly loved my work and felt fulfilled in my position. The connections I made with my youth, teachers and community partners all swirled around in my mind as I begin to make preparations to say goodbye.

How could God place me here for only a short time? Why would the Universe uplift me only to bring me low and feeling meek and defeated? Why am I once again fighting for survival and not thriving?

I sunk into a depression that even now I am not 100% sure I have fully stepped out of. But I am here, each day I am given, to rise to the challenge; seeking and expecting better than even my last year, which in truth was beyond what I prayed and hoped for.

I remember the time before that magical year and how I fought to maintain all I had and when things changed for me, I tried hard to remain grateful…but here’s what I am willing to admit to today: I didn’t set aside time solely to say Thank You.

I did not devote myself to prayer or building a continued spiritual connection. I was too busy enjoying the harvest to give thanks first.

Which is why, even when I win a battle, survive a storm, am able to smile through my tears, I give reference to God for it all. I’ve learned that even in our mess, asking for Forgiveness and being truthful, God can do way more with that than God can with unacknowledged faults.

So, while I still am not where I’ve asked the Universe to send me, I give thanks that this path I am currently on, is leading me where I need to be. The journey never looks like the destination…and I’m sure the reason is that we don’t become complacent and comfortable along the way.

The Universe has to shake it up a bit to keep us focus in our faith and connected to the spirit. No days off from gratitude.

The breakthrough has occurred but the prayer life needs to also take on a breakthrough as well.

In this season of elevating beyond where we were, we will not put down the essential tools which got us through.

The same reverent prayers we prayed, we will continue to pray, with much more conviction for we know that prayer does great works for not only what we physically see, but what we spiritually feel.

You want to honor and show gratitude?

Continue to pray and show reference.

Its not that we believe the Universe is at work, we know.
