Motivation for Perspective: Go Getter Monday

Until you show up for you, no one else will.

The more promises without action you give yourself, the more of the same you can expect from others.

This time around is about solidifying now for the future.

No more we’ll see, it has to be you making it what you deserve.

You want better?

Well my dear, do better!

Motivation for Perspective: Go Getter Monday

At some point, you will hit your head against the wall enough times to realize you cannot continue the short cut route, to longevity.

There are tests and trials that must be issued to you, in order to gain while going through.

There are major benefits to sacrificing; you just have to stand long enough to endure.

When your mind starts to waver and your body begins to grow weak from worry or stress, re-center yourself through: prayer, meditation and positive affirmations; reminding yourself of your why.

A change is going to come, whether you want it or not, but how you handle it depicts what you take away from it.

Embrace the journey.

Embrace the process.

Embrace the sacrifice.

Prepare for the blessings headed your way.

Motivation for Perspective: Go Getter Monday

The more you persevere through adversity; the stronger your mindset and spirit becomes.

When obstacles and challenges present themselves, it means that what you have asked for and worked towards has been aligned to make its way to your reality.

It also means that you’ll have to put on your armour and stand your ground.

Temptation and confrontation are tactics of deterrence.

But a focus of strength and determination withstands all.

You can do this.

You are doing it!

Keep pushing for greater and watch the abundance of your faith multiply your blessings.

Excellence is doing your best with what you currently have. -Pastor Stewart

We get caught up in the vision of what we want the dream to look like in reality, that we never start; because the beginning does not look like the vison.

You have to take what you have and treat it as if it is exactly what you need, because guess what, it is!

We have exactly what is required to begin this journey of excellence, we only need to start.

Motivation for Perspective:Go Getter Monday

Sometimes when you feel like the water is steadily creeping above your head and you may be in too deep, an acknowledging word from within your support system can be the very lifeline you need.

Being hard on ourselves can blind us to the progress we’ve made and the many changes and challenges we’ve overcome.

Take time to celebrate the journey thus far, the rest will surely come.

Motivation for Perspective: Go Getter Monday

If you allow yourself to be corrected

You allow yourself to be empowered.

Being wrong isn’t a bad thing, for it helps set the motion to be better, to be improved.

You don’t always get it right the first go round, that’s what re-dos are for.

Learn the lesson. Gain the blessing.

Work the plan.
Don’t create a plan and leave it inactive!
This is where risk comes in.
This is where failure happens.
This is when Real is recognized.
This is where fake gets exposed.
This is how courage is curated.
This is why faith is the standard.
This is how your network builds your networth.
This is where your dreams become a new reality.
This shows why you’re a Go Getter!

Flyy Girl Friday Feature: Candice VanWye

When I first got into blogging, I was basically figuring it all out as I went along. The more I begin to understand how the virtual world of writing flows, the more I begin to happen upon other bloggers who have been influential in paving the way for beginner and season bloggers.

Brown Girl Bloggers is a community for women of color to connect and exchange their successes and their not so successful moments in blogging.

The woman behind this awesome community, just happens to be our

Flyy Girl Feature!

I am super excited to introduce to some and present to others,

Ms. Candice VanWye

Hi, please introduce yourself to the readers:CandiceV1

Candice VanWye, San Diego, CA
Tell us about your blog site:
I’m the founder and editor of BrownGirlBloggers.com which was created to promote, encourage and connect minority women who blog. I also blog about my life and entrepreneurship on my self titled blog CandiceVanWye.com and I’m editor of a lifestyle blog BeautyCoatedLife.com.
Why did you begin blogging?
I originally started blogging on my personal blog to share my journey as an entrepreneur. I started Brown Girl Bloggers because I found it hard to connect with other minority women bloggers. I was meeting a ton of bloggers but I didn’t have a lot in common with them. I wanted to connect with women like myself and I also wanted to build a community since it seems that Brown Girls are rarely applauded in the blogosphere. I wanted to create a space where we would be featured and promoted.

What motivates you to dedicate time to blogging?
At first my motivation was purely internal. I set goals and I worked towards them because I wanted to see success. Now that people are noticing me, my motivation comes from my community. I’m always motivated by women who say my blogs help them and those who ask for my advice. I love it when I see women making real connections because of something I built.
In one year, what do you hope manifests from your blogging?
In one year I hope to be hosting live events, I hope to be planning the first Brown Girl Blogger’s Conference, I hope to have an e-course to help bloggers and business owners on their journey and I hope to have some type of mentorship program in place for college students. Additionally, I hope that my blog creates amazing relationships between women.

Name two of your favorite bloggers you follow.
Two of my favorite bloggers are Drea of thedreadaily.com and Tyece of twentiesunscripted.com They both write so well and I can usually relate to their blog posts.
What legacy do you want to leave behind for others to know about you?
I hope I’m seen as a very smart and resourceful woman. Someone who is kind and thinks of others. I of course want to see Brown Girl Bloggers grow as much as it possibly can. I hope I help Brown Girls stay inspired and that they get more blogging opportunities because of me.
