Social media has warped us and how we perceive what the “come up” looks like.
We have become a generation obsessed with proving other people wrong and using our growth as a visual revenge on others who did not see the promise.
When the truth is this: people must play specific roles in our lives, in order for each of us to elevate from one level to the next.
If no one ever switched up on you, you’d never know how important it is to guard your heart and be intentional in the company you keep, which in turn means you wouldn’t have that job, partner, friends, child…etc.
If no one ever made you feel less than loved, you wouldn’t have sought out love and discovered the love you have for yourself and inspired others to do the same.
If no one had broken promises, you wouldn’t be a person who moves with a plan and is dependable.
God prepares the table, not for us to stunt, but for us to show how even with scraps, we can have a full course meal. It may take a minute to cover the table, but that’s in part to our perception.
We have the power to feed others through the evolution of our trials! Folks can pull up seats to our table and feast off what we’ve been through, endured, learned and ultimately gained.
So, the next you wanna stunt for the haters, don’t. For you would be taking away from the feast. In stead show gratitude for the role they played, for without them…things might not be as sweet.
